How do I identify the right Braemar combustion fan?
Select by neck length and mounting, not model alone. Measure the existing fan’s neck, then match to the short, long or extra-long body, or a model-specific kit such as the SH25/WF25 (SY640419). Ordering by model only often returns the wrong housing.
Do TH4 and TH5 heaters use the same control board?
Yes. The SY639451 PCB is the listed control board for both TH4 and TH5 ducted heaters, handling start-up, ignition and lockout sequencing for both series.
Is the THM5 modulating control board natural-gas only?
The THM5 modulating control board stocked here, SY640365, is the natural-gas (NG) variant. Confirm your unit’s gas type on the rating plate before ordering.
Will a natural gas valve work on an LPG heater?
No. Natural gas and LPG valves are calibrated for different supply pressures and are not interchangeable. Always order the valve matching the gas type on your unit’s rating plate. Fitting the wrong type is a safety and compliance risk.
What does the SPI to BSC conversion kit do?
The SY636924 kit migrates legacy TA, TE and TX control architecture to Braemar’s current BSC zone-control platform, letting older units run on supported BSC controls instead of discontinued boards.
