How Afterpay works at checkout

1. Add your items to cart and proceed to checkout.
2. Select Afterpay as your payment method (on eligible orders).
3. If you’re new to Afterpay, create an account or follow the sign-in prompts.
4. Complete your order. Payments are managed through Afterpay according to your schedule.

Fees & late payments (important)

• No interest when payments are made on time.
• Late fees may apply if a payment is missed. Afterpay’s late fees are capped (see Afterpay’s terms/policies for details).
• Eligibility, spending limits and approvals are decided by Afterpay (not HVAC Shop).

Who can use Afterpay in Australia?

Afterpay eligibility is assessed by Afterpay. As a general guide, Afterpay states you must be 18+, living in Australia, and have a valid email/mobile number and an Australian bank payment card. Afterpay may also request information to complete an eligibility assessment.

How Afterpay refunds usually work

• Refunds start when the merchant processes the refund (that’s us).
• Once processed, the refund is reflected in your Afterpay account. If you’re owed money back to your card, it’s returned to the card used for payments and can take up to around 10 business days depending on your financial institution.

Afterpay is interest-free when payments are made on time. Late fees may apply if payments are missed.

3) What are the eligibility requirements in Australia?

Afterpay states you must live in Australia, be 18+, and have a valid email/mobile number and an Australian bank payment card. Afterpay may assess eligibility and request additional information.

4) Is there a minimum or maximum spend?

Spending limits and approvals are set by Afterpay and can vary by customer. Your available limit is shown in the Afterpay app and at checkout.

5) Can I pay my Afterpay order off early?

Afterpay allows customers to make payments before the due date in the app (helpful if you want to clear limits for the next job).

6) What happens if I return something I bought with Afterpay?

We process the refund according to our returns policy. Afterpay then updates your payment schedule and returns any owed funds back to your payment method where applicable.

7) What if my order has a bulky freight surcharge?

If a product attracts an additional freight charge (size/weight/location), the final payable total may change. Any surcharge visibility and approvals will be handled through checkout and our shipping process.

8) What if Afterpay declines my purchase?

Afterpay approvals are automated and can change based on your Afterpay account status. You can try another payment method or contact Afterpay support for account-specific help.
