Description
Tired of sore wrists and inconsistent flares after a long day on the tools? The WK-E806AM-1 Cordless Electric Flaring Tool is designed to change the way Aussie HVAC techs work. By automating the flare, you get a mirror-smooth, leak-free connection in just 5 seconds, every single time.
Manual flaring can lead to cracks or uneven faces, especially when you are tired. This tool uses precision eccentric cone technology to "iron" the copper rather than crushing it. This creates a hardened, smooth face perfect for high-pressure systems running R410A and R32 gases.
Best for: VRF installers, split system technicians, and anyone doing high-volume pipework who wants to eliminate leaks and hand fatigue.
Compatible with: Soft (annealed) copper tubing. Handles both Imperial (1/4" - 3/4") and Metric (6mm - 19mm) sizes.

Features
- Eccentric Cone Tech: The cone moves in an oscillating motion. This irons out the copper for a smooth 45° face without galling or scratches.
- Auto-Stop Clutch: No more over-tightening. The tool detects when the flare is finished and disengages automatically, preventing thinned walls or cracked pipes.
- Dual System Clamps: Comes with two clamp bars to cover all common sizes found in Australia—both Imperial (Inch) and Metric.
- Fast Battery: The high-performance Lithium battery can knock out over 100 flares on a single charge.
- Built-in LED: Working in a roof space or under a house? The LED light illuminates your pipe alignment so you aren't working blind.

Why Go Electric?
Manual flaring is an art, but consistency is key to preventing call-backs.
- Consistency: The 50th flare of the day is just as perfect as the 1st.
- Speed: Finish a multi-head VRF install in a fraction of the time.
- Safety: Reduces repetitive strain on your wrists and hands.
- Leak Prevention: The automated torque limit ensures you don't crack the copper edge.
Using Your Electric Flaring Tool: Step-by-Step
- Prep the Pipe: Cut the copper square using a sharp tube cutter. Critical: Deburr the inside of the tube thoroughly. Any shavings left inside will ruin the flare face.
- Insert Tube: Place the copper into the correct size hole on the clamp bar.
- Set Depth: Push the tube against the tool's "Limit Plate" (depth stop) to ensure the perfect amount of copper is sticking out. Tighten the clamp wing nuts securely.
- Attach Tool: Slide the electric flaring tool body onto the clamp bar until it clicks into place.
- Flare It: Pull the trigger. The tool will advance, flare, and then the clutch will click. Release the trigger and switch to reverse (if required) to retract.
- Inspect: Remove the tool and check the flare face. It should be shiny and smooth.
Limitations & Safety Notes
- Soft Copper Only: Designed for annealed (soft) copper. Do not use on hard-drawn copper without annealing it first.
- Deburring is Key: If you skip deburring, the eccentric cone will press shavings into the face, causing leaks.
- Keep Dry: This is an electronic tool. Do not use in heavy rain or wet conditions.
- Clean the Cone: Wipe the cone with a clean rag after use to remove copper dust buildup.

WK-E806AM-1 FAQs
Will this work on R410A and R32 pipe?
Yes. The tool creates a standard SAE 45° flare which is suitable for high-pressure refrigerants like R410A and R32, provided the copper wall thickness meets standards.
How long does the battery last?
A fully charged battery typically lasts for over 100 flares, depending on pipe size. It recharges quickly so you can keep working.
Can I flare brake lines with this?
No. This tool is designed for soft copper HVAC tubing (45° flare). It is not suitable for steel brake lines or double flaring.
My flare is too small, what happened?
You likely didn't push the copper tube far enough into the clamp. Make sure the tube touches the limit plate/depth gauge before you tighten the clamp.
