  3. Carefully disconnect the wiring from the old igniter/sensor. Note its orientation and connection points.
  4. Remove the old igniter/sensor and install the new unit, ensuring it's seated correctly and secured.
  5. Reconnect wiring exactly as it was removed. Double-check all connections.
  6. Restore gas and power, then test the heater's ignition sequence and flame proving circuit thoroughly.

Limitations & Safety Notes

  • This part is only for use with Brivis HX series gas ducted heaters as specified.
  • Installation and servicing of gas appliances must be performed by a licensed gasfitter in accordance with Australian standards.
  • Always follow manufacturer's installation instructions and local gas regulations.
  • Ensure proper combustion analysis is performed after any ignition component replacement to confirm safe and efficient operation.

Tradie Pro Tip

"When you're swapping one of these out, take a clear photo of the wiring before you disconnect anything. It saves a lot of head-scratching trying to figure out which wire goes where, especially on a tight rooftop job or in a dark ceiling space."
