Using It on the Job

1. First, attach the Testovent 417 Flow Straightener to the correct Testovent measurement funnel (sold separately) for your application.
2. Next, connect your compatible Testo vane anemometer, such as the Testo 417 or a Testo 440 with a 100mm vane probe, to the assembled straightener and funnel.
3. Position the measurement funnel firmly and flat against the swirl outlet or grille from which you need to take volume flow readings.
4. Take your measurements using your Testo instrument. The flow straightener will ensure the air hitting the vane is uniform, preventing artificially high or low readings from turbulent air.
5. Utilise your instrument's 'hold' function to capture stable readings once the flow has equalised.
6. After use, carefully disconnect the components, clean them if necessary, and store them securely in their designated cases to prevent damage.
