Description
This Testo modular flue gas probe (0600 8766) is built for HVAC techs and industrial combustion engineers checking boilers, burners, and engines. It makes sure your analyser stays accurate in tough conditions by protecting its sensors from dusty flue gases.
On an Australian rooftop or in a dusty plant, keeping your analyser clean is key to reliable readings and avoiding costly repairs down the line. I've seen too many analysers fail early due to preventable dust ingress.
Best For
- Industrial combustion analysis
- Boiler and burner tuning
- Emission testing
- Preventative maintenance on large HVAC systems
Compatibility
This probe is specifically designed for Testo flue gas analysers like the Testo 340 and Testo 350. The bayonet lock ensures a secure connection for both the flue gas path and the temperature channel. If you're running a different model, check fittings and specs before ordering.
Features
- Quick-Change Click System: Allows for easy and rapid replacement of the probe shaft on the job.
- Integrated Preliminary Filter (Ø 14 mm): Protects your analyser's sensors from dusty flue gases, improving accuracy and lifespan.
- NiCr-Ni Thermocouple: Built-in thermocouple enables accurate temperature measurement up to 1000°C (1832°F).
- Bayonet Lock Connection: Provides a convenient and secure connection for both the flue gas path and temperature channel to your measuring instrument.
- Robust Metal Housing: Designed for durability and longevity in demanding industrial and commercial environments.

What's in the Box
- Modular Flue Gas Probe (0600 8766)
- Preliminary filter (Ø 14 mm)
- Probe stop
- Integrated NiCr-Ni thermocouple
- 2.2 m (7 ft) hose
- Cone for attachment
Using It on the Job
- Connect the probe: Ensure the bayonet lock is securely attached between the probe and your Testo analyser (e.g., Testo 340 or 350). Make sure it clicks into place properly.
- Check the filter: Before each use, quickly inspect the preliminary filter for excessive buildup of soot or dust. A clean filter ensures accurate readings and protects your analyser from damage.
- Insert the probe: Carefully insert the probe shaft into the flue gas stream to the required immersion depth. Use the adjustable probe stop to maintain consistent positioning for repeatable measurements.
- Take your readings: Allow the temperature and gas readings to stabilise on your analyser before logging data. The integrated thermocouple will provide accurate temperature data directly.
- Post-job care: After use, disconnect the probe and allow it to cool completely. Clean any visible soot or dust from the probe shaft and housing to maintain its condition.
Limitations & Safety Notes
- This probe is only compatible with Testo analysers designed for bayonet-lock probes, such as the Testo 340 and 350 series.
- The maximum temperature rating is 1000°C (1832°F); do not expose the probe to higher temperatures.
- Regularly check and replace the preliminary filters to prevent dust and particles from damaging your analyser's sensitive sensors.
- Always follow the specific safety instructions and operating procedures for your combustion analyser and the work environment.
- This probe is designed for flue gas analysis; do not use it for liquid immersion or in highly corrosive environments beyond its stated capabilities.
Tradie Pro Tip: Keep a spare set of filters in your kit. They're cheap insurance compared to having to send your analyser in for repair because dust has clogged up the sensitive gas sensors. A quick filter change on site can save you a full day of downtime.
Pair With
Pair this probe with a Testo 340 or Testo 350 combustion analyser for industrial applications. Don't forget to stock up on spare sintered filters and particle filters to keep your system running clean and accurate.
