Using It on the Job

1. Prepare Analyser: Ensure your Testo 300 flue gas analyser is calibrated and ready for use according to the manufacturer's instructions.
2. Connect Probe: Attach the modular flue gas probe to your analyser using the bayonet lock for both the gas path and temperature channel. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
3. Insert Probe: With appropriate PPE, carefully insert the 300 mm probe shaft into the flue. Use the cone for proper sealing and positioning if required by the flue port.
4. Take Readings: Allow readings to stabilise before recording flue gas temperature, O2, CO, and other relevant parameters.
5. Remove & Clean: Once readings are complete, carefully remove the probe. Allow it to cool down, then inspect and clean the dirt filter and probe shaft to remove any soot or debris.
6. Storage: Store the probe in a suitable case to protect it from damage and contamination.

Limitations & Safety Notes

• Maximum temperature rating is 500 °C; do not exceed this to avoid sensor damage.
• Always wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working with hot flues and combustion gases.
• Ensure the probe is securely fitted to the analyser and the flue to prevent leaks and inaccurate readings.
• Regularly check and clean the integrated dirt filter to maintain accuracy and protect the analyser.
