1. Insert the 3x AA batteries and power on the testo 417. Connect to the testo Smart App on your smartphone for enhanced display and data logging.
2. Attach the appropriate measurement funnel (plate outlet or grille) or the flow straightener, especially for swirl outlets, to ensure accurate volume flow readings.
3. Position the vane securely at the air inlet or outlet you're testing, ensuring full coverage to capture the entire flow.
4. Take your readings. The instrument calculates time and point averages, as well as volume flow, automatically. Use the App for real-time monitoring and saving data.
