Using It on the Job

1. First up, make sure your smart device has the Testo Smart App installed and Bluetooth enabled. Pop in the 3 x AAA batteries provided.
2. Power on the 410i and connect it via Bluetooth to your Android or iOS device through the app. The connection is usually pretty solid once established.
3. Position the 30mm vane at air outlets, within ductwork, or at registers to take direct velocity and temperature readings.
4. For volume flow, simply enter the duct or register dimensions into the Testo Smart App. It'll do the maths for you on the fly.
5. If you're balancing a multi-outlet system, use timed or multipoint averaging functions. This gives you a more accurate average flow profile rather than just a spot reading.
