Description
The Testo 300 Longlife flue gas analyser is your go-to tool for daily installation and maintenance work on heating systems. It gives you precise readings for O2, CO (up to 15,000 ppm), draught, pressure, ambient CO, and differential temperature, all through a modern smart-touch display.
Built for the tough Australian conditions, this analyser combines robust construction with smart features like on-site reporting via email. When you're checking gas heaters or boilers out in the elements, reliable readings and a battery that lasts are non-negotiable.
Best For
- Heating engineers
- Gas plumbers and fitters
- HVAC service and maintenance teams
- Boiler and furnace specialists
Compatibility
This Testo 300 Longlife unit is specifically designed for flue gas analysis on various heating systems. It's equipped to measure O2 and CO (up to 15,000 ppm, with integrated fresh air dilution). The unit also handles draught, pressure, ambient CO, and differential temperature measurements. An NO sensor can be retrofitted if your workflow requires it.
The analyser is TÜV-tested according to the first German Federal Immission Control Ordinance (BImSchV) and EN 50379, Parts 1-3. If you're running a different model, check fittings and specs before ordering.
Features
- Longlife Sensors: O2 and CO sensors rated for up to 6 years service life, reducing replacement frequency. Automatic sensor protection extends their lifespan.
- High CO Range: Measures CO up to 15,000 ppm thanks to integrated fresh air dilution, ideal for robust testing.
- Smart-Touch Operation: Intuitive 5-inch HD display responds quickly, similar to a smartphone, for easy navigation and data input.
- Quick Zeroing: Integrated draught and gas zeroing can be done without removing the probe from the flue, saving time on site.
- On-Site Documentation: Create, save, and email PDF measurement reports directly from the instrument via WLAN hotspot. Includes customer signature function.
- Magnetic Backing: Extra-strong integrated magnets allow for easy, secure fixing of the analyser during measurements.
- Extended Battery Life: Provides approximately 10 hours of operation on a single charge, suitable for a full day's work.
- NO Retrofit Option: The unit is capable of accepting an optional NO sensor for future expansion of measurement capabilities.

Using It on the Job
- Prepare the Appliance: Ensure the gas appliance is operating stably according to manufacturer specifications before beginning tests. Isolate power if working on electrical components.
- Power On & Zeroing: Power on the Testo 300. Place the flue gas probe in the flue or ambient air as required, and allow the instrument to complete its integrated zeroing process.
- Insert Probe: Carefully insert the flue gas probe into the designated test port in the flue, ensuring a tight seal to prevent air ingress.
- Conduct Measurements: Navigate through the clear measurement menus on the smart-touch display to record O2, CO, draught, differential pressure, and temperature readings.
- Document Results: Utilise the on-board documentation features to create reports with measurement values, location, and customer data. Get the customer's signature directly on the screen and email the PDF report if needed.
- Post-Use Care: Remove the probe, allow it to cool, and clean it. Store the analyser in its case to protect the display and sensors.
Limitations & Safety Notes
- This analyser is specifically for combustion gas analysis; it is not designed for refrigerant circuit testing.
- The NO sensor is an optional add-on and is not included with this SKU.
- Always follow local gas safety regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and Australian standards when testing gas appliances.
- Regular calibration and maintenance of your Testo 300 are essential to ensure continued accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure the probe is fully inserted and sealed to avoid inaccurate readings due to ambient air dilution.
Tradie Pro Tip: Don't forget to register your Testo 300 with Testo directly to get that extended 5-year warranty on your O2 and CO sensors. It’s a quick step that can save you a fair bit down the line.
