Description

The Testo 300 Longlife flue gas analyser is built for heating engineers tackling installs and maintenance daily. It packs smart-touch operation and robust build quality, making on-site work smoother.

In the Australian climate, efficient heating system performance is crucial. This analyser helps confirm your system is running clean and safe, handling everything from commissioning to regular checks. Having wrestled with clunky old analysers on a cold morning, the speed of this unit's zeroing phase is a lifesaver.

Best For

  • Heating engineers
  • HVAC technicians
  • Boiler service and maintenance teams
  • Commissioning specialists

Compatibility

This analyser is designed for heating systems, providing accurate readings for O₂, H₂-compensated CO (up to 8,000 ppm), and NO. It's TÜV-tested to EN 50379, Parts 1-3, and is suitable for a wide range of combustion analysis tasks.

Remember, probes for specific applications like gas flow pressure or differential temperature are sold separately. If you're running a different model, check fittings and specs before ordering.

Features

  • O₂, H₂-compensated CO sensor (up to 8,000 ppm) and NO sensor included for comprehensive analysis.
  • Longlife sensors for O₂ and CO with a service life of up to 6 years, reducing replacement frequency.
  • Automatic sensor protection extends sensor life, especially important during high CO readings.
  • Intuitive Smart-Touch 5-inch HD display for easy navigation and quick access to measurement menus.
  • Integrated fine pressure measurement capability for comprehensive system diagnostics.
  • On-site documentation with customer signature function and instant email reports via WLAN (hotspot).

Using It on the Job

  1. Power on the analyser and allow it to complete its zeroing phase. The standby mode allows for quick readiness.
  2. Select the appropriate measurement menu on the Smart-Touch display for flue gas, draught, or differential pressure.
  3. Insert the modular flue gas probe (sold separately) into the flue, ensuring a tight seal for accurate readings.
  4. Monitor the 5-inch HD display for O₂, CO, and NO values, along with temperature and pressure.
  5. Create and save a PDF measurement report on the instrument, adding customer data and even a signature on-site.
  6. Use the integrated Bluetooth or WLAN (via hotspot) to email reports directly to your office or client.

Limitations & Safety Notes

  • This analyser is specifically for combustion analysis on heating systems; it's not designed for general ambient air quality monitoring without specific probes.
  • Always ensure flue gas probes are rated for the measured temperature. Tmax 500 °C is standard for many available probes.
  • Refrigerant work (e.g., R32, R410A) requires separate specialised tools and a current ARCtick licence in Australia. This is not a refrigerant tool.
  • Follow manufacturer's guidelines for sensor calibration and replacement to maintain accuracy and warranty.
  • Operate within the specified temperature ranges. Avoid exposing the instrument to extreme conditions.

Tradie Pro Tip

Even with Longlife sensors, checking your calibration regularly is key. Nothing sours a job quicker than submitting readings only to find out your analyser was off. Testo offers calibration services to keep you spot on.

Pair With

For a complete setup, pair this analyser with Testo modular flue gas probes for various applications and a Testo thermal printer for instant hard copies of reports. Check out our range of temperature probes for flow and return measurements.
