Description
The Testo 300 Longlife flue gas analyser is your go-to tool for staying on top of heating system performance, helping tradies efficiently diagnose issues and ensure safe operation.
Perfect for busy heating engineers and maintenance teams in Australia, this unit makes routine checks and compliance reporting quicker with its robust design and smart-touch display. After a long day of crawling through roof spaces or tight plant rooms, a quick, reliable tool like this really makes a difference.
Best For
- Heating engineers
- HVAC service technicians
- Boiler maintenance crews
- Commercial gas fitters
Compatibility
Designed for comprehensive analysis of heating systems, the Testo 300 Longlife measures O2, H2-compensated CO up to 8,000 ppm, draught, pressure, ambient CO, and differential temperature. An NO sensor can be retrofitted later if your job scope expands.
It's TÜV-tested according to first German Federal Immission Control Ordinance (BImSchV) and EN 50379, Parts 1-3, ensuring it meets strict European standards applicable to many Australian installations.
If you're running a different model, check fittings and specs before ordering.
Features
- Longlife O2 and H2-compensated CO sensors with up to 6 years service life, saving on sensor replacements.
- Smart-touch HD display (5-inch) for intuitive, smartphone-like operation and quick access to measurement menus.
- Integrated documentation and e-mailing of reports via WLAN (hotspot), allowing on-site customer signatures.
- Automatic sensor protection extends sensor life, crucial for daily intensive use.
- Integrated fine pressure measurement and modular probe system for versatile application.
- 10-hour rechargeable battery life and strong integrated magnets for hands-free operation.

What's in the Box
- Testo 300 Longlife flue gas analyser (O2, H2-compensated CO sensor up to 8,000 ppm)
- USB mains unit
- Testo Bluetooth Connector
Using It on the Job
- Perform a visual inspection of the heating system and flue, noting any obvious damage or blockages.
- Switch on the Testo 300 and allow it to perform its zeroing phase. The standby mode feature means it's ready almost instantly.
- Insert the appropriate modular flue gas probe (ordered separately) into the flue at the correct measurement point, ensuring a tight seal.
- Navigate the smart-touch display to the relevant measurement menu (e.g., flue gas analysis, draught, pressure).
- Record readings, including O2, CO (H2-compensated), temperature, and pressure. Document findings directly on the instrument, including customer details and location.
- If required, use the signature function for on-site customer sign-off and e-mail the report via WLAN to the office.
Limitations & Safety Notes
- Only use for intended flue gas and heating system analysis; not for other applications without suitable, separately purchased probes.
- Refrigerant work (e.g., R32, R410A) requires an ARCtick licence; this analyser is for combustion analysis, not refrigerant circuits.
- Always follow Australian safety standards and manufacturer guidelines when working on heating systems.
- Ensure probes are correctly inserted and sealed to prevent false readings or gas leakage during measurement.
- The NO sensor requires retrofitting and is not included in this configuration.
Keep an eye on the automatic sensor protection function, especially during high CO readings. It's designed to extend the life of your O2 and CO sensors, so don't bypass it. Sensor replacement is a killer on the wallet and downtime.
Pair With
Pair with a range of modular flue gas probes for various applications, a Testo thermal printer for instant printouts, and digital clamp meters for electrical diagnostics.
