Using It on the Job
- Ensure your Testo 300 flue gas analyser is calibrated and ready.
- Connect the modular probe shaft and solid fuel adapter to your analyser's inlet.
- Insert the probe into the flue, using the cone to seal the opening and get a stable sample point.
- Allow the analyser to stabilise, then take your readings for O2, CO, and other parameters.
- After use, carefully remove the probe and hose, and clean any soot or debris from the pre-filter.
Limitations & Safety Notes
- Always ensure the probe is securely fitted before taking measurements to avoid leaks or inaccurate readings.
- Do not exceed the maximum rated temperature of 300°C for the probe.
- Regularly check and clean the pre-filter to maintain probe integrity and prevent analyser damage.
- This kit is specific to solid fuel applications; ensure it's appropriate for your particular setup.
When you're pulling a sample from a solid fuel flue, give it a few minutes to stabilise after inserting the probe. Those readings can jump around a bit initially, and you want to be sure you're getting a true average.
