How UV Dye Leak Detection Works
UV dye is injected into the refrigerant circuit and circulates with the refrigerant. When a leak is present, dye escapes with the refrigerant and fluoresces brightly under UV light, making the leak source immediately visible. This method is particularly effective for slow leaks that are difficult to detect with electronic detectors alone.
