The Imperial 560-FTY is a 150cm large-bore evacuation hose from the Imperial 500 Series, designed to minimise flow restriction during deep vacuum pull-down. The 3/8" fitting connects directly to vacuum pump inlets, and the large internal bore allows air and moisture to be evacuated faster than standard charging hoses — reducing evacuation time on residential and commercial HVAC/R systems.

The 500 Series uses a large-bore internal diameter specifically designed to minimise flow restriction during evacuation. Standard charging hoses have a smaller internal bore suited to refrigerant flow, but this restricts vacuum pull-down speed. The 560-FTY is optimised for achieving deep vacuum faster.

What fitting size does the Imperial 560-FTY use?

The 560-FTY uses a 3/8" fitting — the standard connection size for vacuum pump inlets. It connects directly to the vacuum pump port and the system service port for evacuation without adapters.

Can I use the Imperial 560-FTY for refrigerant charging?

The 560-FTY is designed specifically for evacuation. For refrigerant charging through a manifold gauge set, use 1/4" or 5/16" SAE hose sets. Using an evacuation hose for charging is not recommended as the large bore is not suited to controlled refrigerant flow.
