HS35 or HS36 — Which Should You Choose?
The HS35 uses average-responding AC measurement — accurate and reliable on standard Australian 230V/50Hz sine wave circuits found in most residential and light commercial HVACR work. If you regularly work on equipment with variable frequency drives (VFDs) or inverter-driven compressors, consider the HS36, which adds True RMS measurement for accurate readings on non-sinusoidal waveforms. For the majority of Australian HVACR field service, the HS35 is the right tool.
