Using It on the Job

1. Power Down: Always isolate power to the evaporative cooler at the mains switchboard before commencing any work. Ensure it's locked out if possible.
2. Access Panels: Carefully remove the outer casing or access panels to expose the old filter pads. Note how they are seated.
3. Remove Old Pads: Unclip or slide out the existing, often dirty and calcified, filter pads. Be prepared for some mess.
4. Clean Sump: Take the opportunity to thoroughly clean out the water sump at the bottom of the unit, checking for mineral scale build-up and blockages.
5. Install New Pads: Position the new Brivis filter pads into their respective slots, ensuring they sit snugly and fully cover the openings.
6. Reassemble & Test: Replace access panels and casing securely, then restore power and test the unit for proper operation, checking water flow over the new pads.

A build-up of gunk in there messes with water flow, can cause overflows, and shortens the life of your new pads.
