This Minisit control knob is a direct replacement for your gas valve, making sure you can safely and accurately adjust the flame on your gas appliance. It's a common part that wears out over time with constant use, especially in busy commercial kitchens or high-use residential heaters.

I've seen plenty of cracked or loose knobs over the years; replacing them keeps things running smoothly and safely, preventing any guesswork when setting temperatures or flame levels.

What's in the Box

  • 1 x Minisit Plastic Control Knob (ST0916111)

Using It on the Job

  1. Isolate Power & Gas: Always ensure the appliance's power and gas supply are completely shut off and locked out before starting any work.
  2. Inspect Existing Knob: Carefully remove the old, damaged knob, noting how it was attached to the valve spindle.
  3. Clean Spindle: Give the valve spindle a quick clean to remove any grime or debris that might prevent the new knob from fitting correctly.
  4. Install New Knob: Align the new Minisit control knob (ST0916111) with the valve spindle and push it firmly into place. Ensure it engages correctly and turns smoothly.
  5. Test Functionality: Once reassembled, restore power and gas, then test the knob's full range of movement (0-7 dial) to confirm proper function and secure fit.
  6. Check for Leaks: For any work near gas connections, always perform a leak check with a suitable detector or solution before leaving the site.

Limitations & Safety Notes

  • This knob is only compatible with Minisit 710 gas valves (SIT part number 0710133).
  • Any work involving gas appliances should only be carried out by qualified and licensed personnel, adhering to all Australian gas safety standards.
  • Ensure the gas supply is fully isolated and verified before commencing any replacement.
  • Never force the knob onto an incompatible spindle, as this can damage the valve.

When fitting these, a tiny dab of silicone grease on the spindle can make the new knob slide on smoother and last longer, but only if it's approved for gas contact. Otherwise, just make sure it's clean and goes on straight.
