Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Can I use a standard vacuum pump for R32 systems?
Technically, a standard pump will create a vacuum, but it is not safe. R32 is an A2L "mildly flammable" refrigerant. Standard pumps have non-shielded switches that can spark. The Javac Bulldog is designed with spark-proof components to ensure that even if a small amount of gas is present, the pump will not become an ignition source.
What is the benefit of the isolation solenoid valve?
The solenoid valve is an essential safety feature. If the power cuts out while you are in a deep vacuum, the valve automatically snaps shut. This prevents the vacuum pump oil from being sucked back into your hoses, manifold, and the customer's refrigeration system, avoiding a costly and time-consuming cleanup.
Is 160 L/min suitable for commercial applications?
Yes. 160 L/min (approx. 5.6 CFM) is an excellent flow rate for larger residential systems and medium commercial refrigeration. It provides enough "muscle" to move air out of long pipe runs quickly, significantly reducing the time you spend waiting for a pull-down.
