Why techs choose Viper

Designed for HVAC — Formulas targeted to evaporators, condensers, drains and ice machines.
Helps restore airflow — Clean fins = better heat exchange and quieter operation.
Rinse or no-rinse options — Choose the right chemistry for the job and location.
Pro & DIY friendly — Handy aerosols through to concentrated solutions (follow label/SDS).

Quick picks by task

Indoor evaporator (no-rinse): Gentle on fins; ideal for routine maintenance.
Outdoor condenser (foaming/rinse): Lifts greasy, outdoor contaminants; finish with water flush.
Drain pan & line treatment: Helps prevent musty odours and bio-growth in wet areas.
Ice machine cleaner (nickel-safe): Formulated for food-contact surfaces (follow appliance manual).
Heat-blocking putty (WetRag): Protects nearby components during brazing.
Leak detection (Big Blu-type): Pinpoints micro-leaks during service.

Tip: Always test on a small, inconspicuous area first, and work with the coil airflow direction to push debris out of the coil pack.

How to choose the right Viper cleaner (2-minute guide)

1) Match the surface

Evaporator: Look for “evaporator” or “no-rinse” on the label (indoor use).
Condenser: Use “condenser/foaming” cleaners (outdoor use; rinse thoroughly).
Drain/Ice machine: Use dedicated drain treatments / nickel-safe formulas.

2) Match the soil

Light dust & odour: Mild, no-rinse.
Grease, coastal grime, kitchen air: Foaming, rinse-required.
Scale/mineral: Use the manufacturer’s specified descaler suitable for the surface.

3) Application method

Aerosol/trigger: Spot jobs and routine cleans.
Concentrate + sprayer/foam gun: Deep cleans and multiple systems.

4) Safety & materials

Confirm compatibility with aluminium/copper fins and plastic trays.
Wear PPE; ventilate; protect electronics and painted surfaces.

FAQs

Can I use a condenser cleaner indoors?
No. Use indoor-safe/no-rinse products on evaporators; outdoor foaming cleaners require rinsing outside.

How often should I clean coils?
Filters: every 1–3 months in season. Coils: inspect each service; clean as needed (typically annually) or sooner in dusty/greasy settings.

Do I need a licence to spray coil cleaner?
Cleaning accessible coils and casings is fine for homeowners/PCBU staff. Any work that opens the refrigerant circuit or requires recovery must be done by ARCtick-licensed personnel. arctick.org+1

Are these foodsafe?
Only products specifically labelled (e.g., nickel-safe ice machine cleaners) should be used on food-contact surfaces. Always follow the appliance manual and SDS.
