Errecom HVAC/R Chemicals – Professional Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Chemicals
Errecom is an Italian manufacturer of professional HVAC/R chemicals trusted by refrigeration mechanics and air conditioning technicians worldwide. Their range covers leak detection dyes, coil cleaners, lubricants, and system treatments — formulated specifically for refrigeration and air conditioning systems rather than adapted from general industrial products.
The Errecom Chemical Range
- UV leak detection dyes — fluorescent dyes injected into the refrigerant circuit to locate slow leaks that electronic detectors struggle to pinpoint. Compatible with R32, R410A, R134a, R404A, and other common refrigerants.
- Coil cleaners — foaming and non-foaming cleaners for evaporator and condenser coils, formulated to dissolve grease, dust, and biological contamination without damaging aluminium fins or copper tubing.
- Compressor lubricants & oils — POE and PAG oils for topping up or replacing compressor oil during service work.
- System flush & treatments — flushing agents for removing contamination from refrigerant circuits after burnout or compressor failure.
- Leak sealants — stop-leak products for minor refrigerant leaks in systems where full repair isn't immediately practical.
UV Dye vs Electronic Leak Detection
| Method | Best For | Limitation |
|---|---|---|
| Electronic detector | Fast initial scan, active leaks | Can miss very slow leaks, false alarms in contaminated areas |
| UV dye | Slow leaks, pinpointing exact location, follow-up verification | Requires UV lamp, dye stays in system |

Frequently Asked Questions
Is UV dye safe for all refrigerants?
Errecom UV dyes are formulated for compatibility with common refrigerants including R32, R410A, R134a, and R404A. Always check the specific product's compatibility list before injecting into a system, particularly for A2L refrigerants.
Will UV dye affect system performance?
When used in the correct quantity, quality UV dyes have minimal impact on system performance. Avoid over-dosing — follow the manufacturer's recommended injection quantity for the system size.
Can I use Errecom coil cleaners on all coil types?
Errecom coil cleaners are formulated for aluminium and copper coils used in HVAC/R equipment. Always check the product label for compatibility with specific coil materials and follow dilution instructions.
