Errecom HVAC/R Chemicals – Leak Sealants, Additives & Oils

Keep leaks under control, compressors protected, and systems clean with Errecom’s specialised HVAC/R chemical range. Made in Italy and used worldwide, Errecom focuses on leak stops, UV dyes, lubricants and system additives that improve the performance and reliability of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

At HVAC Shop, we stock a wide mix of Errecom products for residential, commercial and automotive systems across Australia – including the flagship Extreme Ultra leak stop range, vacuum pump oils, POE compressor oils, UV dyes, injectors and drainage cleaners.

Why Australian techs choose Errecom

  • Purpose-built for AC/R – Errecom develops chemical solutions specifically for air conditioning and refrigeration maintenance: leak stops, additives, dyes, lubricants, disinfectants and flushing fluids.
  • Extreme Ultra micro-leak repair – the Extreme Ultra 6 mL polymer-free leak stop is designed to help seal micro-leaks in metal and rubber components, with one cartridge treating systems up to around 21 kW or ~700 mL of oil (when used as per the TDS).
  • Compatible with modern refrigerants – selected Errecom products are compatible with a wide range of refrigerants, including R32 and certain HFO blends, when used according to the manufacturer’s instructions and local standards.
  • Supports efficient, lower-emission operation – a well-maintained, leak-tight system runs more efficiently, helping reduce running costs and refrigerant emissions when combined with good installation and maintenance practices.

Important: Errecom chemicals are trade products. Leak stops, oils and refrigerant-side additives should only be used by licensed refrigeration and air conditioning technicians following the Australia & New Zealand Refrigerant Handling Code of Practice and relevant AS/NZS standards.

What you’ll find in the Errecom range at HVAC Shop

1. Leak sealants & micro-leak products

For systems where you’ve confirmed a micro-leak and a physical repair is difficult or impractical, Errecom leak stops can be one of the tools in your kit – always alongside proper diagnostics and code-compliant repair practices.

  • Errecom TR1163.AL.H3.S2 Extreme Ultra (6 mL leak stop)
Polymer-free micro-leak sealer for HVAC/R systems that is formulated to help permanently seal tiny leaks in metal and rubber components without reacting with moisture or oxygen, and without clogging TXVs or capillaries when used correctly. Ideal for packaged units, splits and small commercial refrigeration once you’ve verified leak size and repaired what you reasonably can.
  • Errecom TR1062.C.M2 Extreme Leak Stop
A versatile leak stop designed to address small refrigerant leaks in AC/R systems, including automotive applications, where the active ingredients are triggered at the leak site to build a flexible seal.
  • Hydrocarbon- and R600/R290-specific leak stops (such as Errecom Hydrocarbon / Extreme White options) for low-GWP cabinets and small refrigeration – always follow the TDS and local flammable-refrigerant guidance.

For testing and confirming leaks before and after using a sealant, pair Errecom leak stops with our leak detector tools in the Test & Measurements – Leak Detectors collection.

2. UV dyes & leak detection support

Finding the leak properly is still the priority. Errecom UV dyes and torches are designed to make trace leaks easier to spot:

For A2L refrigerants like R32, always ensure your leak detectors and UV additives are rated and used in line with flammable-gas safety guidance.

3. Compressor oils & vacuum pump oils

Correct oil selection is critical for system reliability and warranty:

You can also explore our broader Vacuum Oils collection and Vacuum Pumps to build a complete evacuation setup.

4. Easy-Inject tools & additives

For techs who regularly inject oils, leak stops, anti-acid additives or UV dyes:

Pair Easy-Inject tools with the correct Errecom additive for the job (leak stop, UV dye, system flush, anti-acid) and always follow the manufacturer’s TDS and Australian standards.

5. Cleaning, drainage & system care chemicals

For coil cleaning, bagging and full system hygiene, see our Cleaning Chemical collection and Air Conditioner Cleaning Kits.

Compliance, safety & best practice in Australia

Using Errecom products correctly means staying aligned with Australian legislation and codes:

  • The Australia & New Zealand Refrigerant Handling Code of Practice sets requirements for leak-tight systems, evacuation, charging, leak testing and maintenance.
  • Guidance from the Australian Refrigeration Council (Look for the Tick program) makes it clear that if a leak exists, affected parts must be repaired or replaced before the system is refilled with refrigerant – topping up without repair is not allowed.
  • For flammable and A2L refrigerants like R32, technicians must follow specific safety practices around concentration limits, ignition sources, evacuation and tool selection.

Errecom’s Extreme Ultra leak stops and UV dyes should therefore be used only by licensed technicians as part of a structured process:

  1. Diagnose and locate the leak using rated leak detection tools and/or UV dyes.
  2. Repair or replace accessible faulty components in line with the code of practice.
  3. Where a confirmed micro-leak remains in inaccessible sections and the manufacturer allows, use Errecom leak stop as per the TDS.
  4. Perform appropriate pressure or vacuum tests and final leak checks before re-commissioning.

Done properly, this approach supports lower refrigerant emissions, better system efficiency and fewer call-backs, while helping you meet your environmental and legal obligations.

Whether you’re looking after split systems, VRF, cold rooms or small cabinets, Errecom chemicals from HVAC Shop help you diagnose, protect and maintain systems in line with Australian standards and environmental obligations.

Errecom & Extreme Ultra – FAQs

Is Errecom Extreme Ultra a replacement for proper leak repair?

No. Australian regulations and codes of practice require that if a leak exists, affected parts are repaired or replaced before refilling with refrigerant. Leak stops like Errecom Extreme Ultra are a tool for dealing with confirmed micro-leaks that can’t reasonably be accessed or repaired, and should only be used by licensed technicians following manufacturer TDS and the Refrigerant Handling Code of Practice.

Can I use Errecom leak stops and dyes in R32 and other A2L systems?

Some Errecom products are compatible with a wide range of refrigerants, including R32 and certain HFO blends, when used as directed. However, R32 is an A2L flammable refrigerant, so you must use A2L-rated tools, observe concentration limits and follow ARC/AIRAH safety guidance. Always check the product TDS, the equipment manufacturer’s instructions and the Australia & New Zealand Refrigerant Handling Code of Practice before using any additive in A2L systems.

Who is allowed to inject Errecom additives into HVAC/R systems in Australia?

Only technicians holding a valid ARC Refrigerant Handling Licence and working under a business with a Refrigerant Trading Authorisation (RTA) are permitted to handle scheduled refrigerants and inject additives. Businesses must also maintain appropriate leak detectors, recovery units and vacuum pumps, and keep records as required under the Ozone Protection and Synthetic Greenhouse Gas Management framework.

Do Errecom products help improve system efficiency?

They can contribute to better operation when used correctly as part of a broader maintenance strategy. Keeping systems leak-tight, oils in good condition and drains and coils clean – with products such as Extreme Ultra, Errecom oils and drain cleaners – supports efficient operation, but must be combined with proper commissioning, controls and routine servicing.

I’m a facility manager – how should I choose between different Errecom products?

Start with your service contractor. They should assess the system type, refrigerant (including whether it is flammable), leak history and oil condition, then recommend the right Errecom product – for example Extreme Ultra for a confirmed micro-leak, POE 46 oil for a specific HFC/HFO chiller, or UV dye and a flexible UV torch for long-term leak monitoring. They will also ensure everything is used in line with Australian codes and manufacturer warranties.
